The site is designed specifically for individuals who are in business for themselves or involved in starting a business. The site features profiles, messaging, member directories, forums, and articles written by local Biznik members. The idea behind is to provide a place for those in business for themselves to network with like-minded individuals. The site does not accept membership from any MLM-related businesses or individuals.

Users can promote themselves within the community by participating in discussions or uploading articles they have written on topics of interest to business people. Members of can post events and start groups around a particular topic. They can also participate in local or worldwide forum discussions. Users can follow other users and have their own network of associates. Users can also give and receive referrals. Users with an upgraded membership can maintain a blog on the site and have access to other premium features as well.
